CTAN Markdown: Logos
Since we are in the TeX world we are used to certain logos typeset in a special way. Some of these logos are supported in CTAN markdown:
We like TeX!
This renders as
We like TeX!
The logos are simply embedded in their text representation. They are automatically recognized and translated. No special markup is required.
As a reference we list the supported logos in the following table:
Text representation … | renders as … |
---|---|
TeX | TeX |
e-TeX | ε-TeX |
LaTeX | LaTeX |
LaTeXe or LaTeX2e | LaTeX2ε |
(La)TeX | (La)TeX |
LaTeX(2e) | LaTeX(2ε) |
XeTeX | XeTeX |
XeLaTeX | XeLaTeX |
Xe(La)TeX | Xe(La)TeX |
BibTeX | BiBTeX |
Metafont or MetaFont | METAFONT |
Metapost or MetaPost | METAPOST |
Other combinations with the logos come out right since the replacement does
not consider word boundaries. For instance LuaTeX
renders as
LuaTeX even if this logo is not considered specially.
