On Mon, 7 May 2012 Martin Scharrer submitted an update to the
ctanupload
package.

This update adds the new `--edit` option which will enabled `--source` and `--Find` to determine the source location of the macro definitions and opens the file at this line in the users editor. The editor can be given using environment variables or the `--editor` option. Also, the release fixes an issue which reported wrong file names for `--find` or `--Find`. If the macro definition was located before a `\RequirePackage` the name of the required package was reported, not the one of the actual package.

ctanupload – Support for users uploading to CTAN
The package provides a Perl script that allows the uploads of a contribution to CTAN from the command line. The aim is to simplify the release process for LaTeX package authors.
Note by the CTAN team (2015-02-05): It seems that this script is currently not working.
