Summary description: Typeset vectors and matrices following the RIGID notation
Announcement text:
Notation conventions for rigid transformations are as diverse as they are fundamental to the field of robotics. A well-defined convention that is practical, consistent and unambiguous is essential for the clear communication of ideas and to foster collaboration between researchers. Based on an analysis of the proceedings of the International Conference on Robotics and Automation 2023, a new notation convention called RIGID was defined, which complies with the ISO 80000 Standard on Quantities and Units, is designed to be concise yet unambiguous, and easy to use. This LaTeX package facilitates the use of the RIGID notation in manuscripts preparation through simple customizable commands that can be easily translated into variable names for software development.
The package’s Catalogue entry can be viewed at https://ctan.org/pkg/rigidnotation The package’s files themselves can be inspected at https://mirrors.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/rigidnotation/

rigidnotation – Typeset vectors and matrices following the RIGID notation
This package provides LaTeX macros to easily and concisely typeset vectors and matrices in a flexible way such as to follow the RIGID notation convention. The package enables the user to define custom commands that can then be used in any math-mode environment to efficiently and rigorously typeset the notational elements commonly used in robotics research (and many other fields) for position vectors, rotation matrices, pose matrices, etc.
