Summary description: Illustrate celestial mechanics and the solar system
Announcement text:
I wanted to illustrate an astronomy course I was giving using TikZ. Yet, I couldn't seem to find any library that would make it easy to draw sketches of the eclipses, the phases of the Moon, ... This package fills that purpose.
The package’s Catalogue entry can be viewed at https://ctan.org/pkg/tikz-planets The package’s files themselves can be inspected at http://mirror.ctan.org/graphics/pgf/contrib/tikz-planets/
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Petra Rübe-Pugliese
