Andrew Stacey submitted an update to the
braids
package.
Version: 2.3 2024-01-09
License: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Draw braid diagrams with PGF/TikZ
Announcement text:
This version disambiguates the `height` key (which was admittedly counter-intuitive) and introduces some more keys that control the behaviour of crossings. The documentation has also been improved considerably, thanks to Niles Johnson.
The package’s Catalogue entry can be viewed at https://ctan.org/pkg/braids The package’s files themselves can be inspected at https://mirrors.ctan.org/graphics/pgf/contrib/braids/
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Petra Rübe-Pugliese
CTAN is run entirely by volunteers and supported by TeX user groups. Please join a user group or donate to one, see https://ctan.org/lugs

braids – Draw braid diagrams with PGF/TikZ
The package enables drawing of braid diagrams with PGF/TikZ using a simple syntax. The braid itself is specified by giving a word in the braid group, and there are many options for styling the strands and for drawing “floors”.
