This should be at your local mirror within a day. Jim Hef{}feron Saint Michael's College .......................................................................... The following information was provided by our fellow contributor: Name of contribution: tikz-3dplot Version number: 2010-01-17 Author's name: Jeffrey Hein Location on CTAN: /graphics/pgf/contrib/tikz-3dplot/ Summary description: coordinate transformation styles for 3d plotting in TikZ License type: lppl Announcement text:
The tikz-3dplot package provides straightforward ways to define three-dimensional coordinate frames through which to plot in TikZ. The user can specify the orientation of the main coordinate frame, and use standard TikZ commands and coordinates to render their tikzfigure. A secondary coordinate frame is provided to allow rotations and translations with respect to the main coordinate frame. In addition, The 3dplot package can also handle plotting user-specified functions in spherical polar coordinates, where both the radius and fill color can be expressed as parametric functions of polar angles.
This package is located at http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/graphics/pgf/contrib/tikz-3dplot/ . More information is at http://tug.ctan.org/pkg/tikz-3dplot (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . tikz-3dplot – Coordinate transformation styles for 3d plotting in TikZ

The package provides straightforward ways to define three-dimensional coordinate frames through which to plot in TikZ. The user can specify the orientation of the main coordinate frame, and use standard TikZ commands and coordinates to render their tikzfigure. A secondary coordinate frame is provided to allow rotations and translations with respect to the main coordinate frame. In addition, the package can also handle plotting user-specified functions in spherical polar coordinates, where both the radius and fill color can be expressed as parametric functions of polar angles.
