CTAN Update: calculator
Date: February 25, 2014 6:18:26 PM CET
Robert Fuster submitted an update to the
calculator
package.
Version number: 2.0
License type: lppl
Summary description: Use LaTeX as a scientific calculator
Announcement text:
- Inverse trigonometric and inverse hyperbolic functions are added (this completes the typical elementary functions) - Also vector (cross) product and angle between vectors can be evaluated - New length operations - ... and some other minor additions and changes
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/calculator/ More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/calculator We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . Please join a users group; see http://www.tug.org/usergroups.html .
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Petra Rübe-Pugliese

calculator – Use LaTeX as a scientific calculator
The calculator and calculus packages define several instructions which allow us to realise algebraic operations and to evaluate elementary functions and derivatives in our documents.
The package’s main goal is to define the arithmetic and functional calculations needed in the author’s package xpicture, but the numeric abilities of “calculator” and “calculus” may be useful in other contexts.
