Summary description: support all 35 standard ps fonts
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
Previously, the ly1 package only supported Times, Helvetica, and Courier. This update adds support for the rest of the standard 35 PostScript fonts. The new files are from the Y&Y distribution, previously on CTAN in /fonts/psfonts/ly1/lw35nfsx.zip. Neither the old files nor the new ones have been altered -- just merged together into one package.
This package is located at http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/fonts/psfonts/ly1/ . More information is at http://tug.ctan.org/pkg/ly1 (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . ly1 – Support for LY1 LaTeX encoding
The Y&Y ‘texnansi’ (TeX and ANSI, for Microsoft interpretations of ANSI standards) encoding lives on, even after the decease of the company; it is known in the LaTeX scheme of things as LY1 encoding. This bundle includes metrics and LaTeX macros to use the basic three (Times, Helvetica and Courier) Adobe Type 1 fonts in LaTeX using LY1 encoding.
