The `frupee' package provides \LaTeX\ support for the Rupee symbol created by TechFat, \url{http://techfat.blogspot.com/} The font is transformed into Type~1 format using FontForge. The \LaTeX\ support is created by Palle Jorgensen, hamselv(a)pallej.dk.

tfrupee – A font offering the new (Indian) Rupee symbol
The package provides LaTeX support for the (Indian) Rupee symbol font, created by TechFat.
The original font has been converted to Adobe Type 1 format, and simple LaTeX support written for its use.
