CTAN Update: GladTeX
This new release of GladTeX is a complete rewrite of GladTeX in Python. The old Perl / C version had portability issues, the new version in contrast runs on any OS which is supported by Python. Additionally, GladTeX can now aid the creation of accessible documents for the blind, by providing the LaTeX equation in the alt attribute of an image (`<img alt="..." ... />`. It also comes with a library which allows embedding GladTeX into other applications.
The package’s Catalogue entry can be viewed at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/gladtex The package’s files themselves can be inspected at http://mirror.ctan.org/support/gladtex/

GladTeX – LaTeX equations in HTML
GladTeX is a utility that enables LaTeX equations within HTML code. You write HTML code as usual, but in addition you can include equations within the special tags <EQ>..</EQ>, as if within $$..$$ in LaTeX. Then you run gladtex, which replaces the equations by images. Features include image alignment (baseline of equations agree with baseline of text), GIF and PNG support, transparent backgrounds and antialiasing.
Additionally, GladTeX can aid the creation of accessible documents for the blind by providing the LaTeX equation in the alt attribute of an image. It also comes with a library which allows embedding GladTeX into other applications.
