Summary description: Bibliography data for all CTAN packages
Announcement text:
ctan.bib has the bibliography data of all CTAN packages. It is saved as bibtex data, mainly for use with biber/biblatex. The used data fields are for example @manual{a0poster, title = {The \texttt{a0poster} package}, subtitle = {Support for designing posters on large paper}, author = {Gerlinde Kettl and Matthias Weiser}, date = {2016-06-24}, version = {1.22b}, license = {lppl}, url = {https://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/a0poster}, pkgurl = {https://ctan.org/pkg/a0poster}, note = {Provides fonts in sizes of 12pt up to 107pt and also makes sure that in math formulas the symbols appear in the right size. Can also create a PostScript header file for which ensures that the poster will be printed in the right size. Supported sizes are DIN A0, DIN A1, DIN A2 and DIN A3.}, } The ctan.bib will be updated daily and can be used for packages or book authors to get always the current version number and date of the packages.
This package is located at https://mirrors.ctan.org/biblio/ctan-bibdata More information is at https://www.ctan.org/pkg/ctan-bibdata
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Manfred Lotz CTAN is run entirely by volunteers and supported by TeX user groups. Please join a user group or donate to one, see https://ctan.org/lugs .

ctan-bibdata – Bibliography data for all CTAN packages
All CTAN packages are saved as bibdata with the entry type @manual , which can easily be changed by any editor via the replace function. For the old BibTeX program you have to define your bibliography style file, eg ctan.bst. For Biber resp. BibLaTeX there exists an own ctan.bbx file which uses the data fields:
title, subtitle, author, date, version, license, url, pkgurl, note.
ctan.bbx is based on authortitle which can be changed easily in the file.
The file ctan.bib will be updated on a daily basis.
