The sTeX package has been re-implemented from the ground up in LaTeX3. * New features - sTeX functionality can be integrated into any LaTeX document class - greatly reduced package dependencies, removal of long-deprecated ballast - there is no need for external tools to generate auxiliary files - no need to extend file stack size - semantic HTML generation via RusTeX * Caveats - The concrete syntax has changed in various places. - Documentation will be extended/updated soon.

sTeX – An infrastructure for semantic preloading of LaTeX documents
The sTeX package collection is a version of TeX/LaTeX that allows to markup TeX/LaTeX documents semantically without leaving the document format, essentially turning it into a document format for mathematical knowledge management (MKM).
