pdfsync.sty allows one to synchronize between LaTeX source and pdf output. When used with a text editor and a PDF viewer that both support pdfsync, you can navigate from the source to the output and vice versa.

pdfsync – Provide links between source and PDF
The package runs with pdfTeX or XeTeX, and creates an auxiliary file with geometrical information to permit references back and forth between source and PDF, assuming a conforming editor and PDF viewer.
