Summary description: A class file for dissertations at the
University of Michigan

Announcement text:
This new class file improves upon previous class files in several ways: - it loads the book class, and makes as few changes as possible - it uses "new" commands such as \newcommand instead of \def - it is compatible with many other LaTeX packages - unlike some previous class files, it is well commented - unlike some previous class files, it does not break \includeonly - a full example is provided showing the many features of the class

umthesis – Dissertations at the University of Michigan
The class loads book class, and makes minimal changes to it; its coding aims to be as robust as possible, and as a result it has few conflicts with potential add-on packages.
