Date: September 26, 2006 9:15:46 AM CEST
A new package has been installed on the tug branch of CTAN and should soon migrate to your favorite mirror. Thanks again, Jim Hefferon Saint Michael's College The following information was provided by our fellow contributor: Name of contribution: splines Author's name: Daniel Luecking Location on CTAN: /graphics/metapost/contrib/macros/splines/ Summary description: Metapost/metafont macros for drawing cubic spline interpolants. License type: lppl Announcement text:
A small package of macros for creating cubic spline interpolants in Metapost or metafont. Given a list of points they can produce a closed or a relaxed spline joining them. Given a list of function values y_j at x_j, it can produce the graph of a cubic spline interpolating function y=f(x), which is either periodic or relaxed.
This package is located at http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/graphics/metapost/contrib/macros/splines/ . More information is at http://tug.ctan.org/cgi-bin/ctanPackageInformation.py?id=splines (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). splines – macros for drawing cubic spline interpolants

This is a small package of macros for creating cubic spline interpolants in or . Given a list of points the macros can produce a closed or a relaxed spline joining them. Given a list of function values y_j at x_j, the result would define the graph of a cubic spline interpolating function y=f(x), which is either periodic or relaxed.
