CTAN Update: chemmacros
Date: February 28, 2013 10:02:36 AM CET
Clemens Niederberger submitted an update to the
chemmacros
package.
Summary description: macros and commands for chemists
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
- works now when `breqn' package is used - in \ch{} math escaping is also possible via \(\) - new options: `radical-vshift', `radical-hshift' and `radical-space' allow finer control over the radical point - bug fix: `radical-...' options are now correctly set - stoichiometric factors: a missing leading 0 is added - \ch{}'s !()() syntax now also works with when babel is used with `french' or `frenchb'
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/chemmacros . More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/chemmacros (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . chemmacros – A collection of macros to support typesetting chemistry documents
The bundle offers a collection of macros and commands which are intended to make typesetting chemistry documents faster and more convenient. Coverage includes some nomenclature commands, oxidation numbers, thermodynamic data, newman projections, etc.
The package relies on the following supporting packages:
- chemformula, providing a command for typesetting chemical formulae and reactions (doing a similar task to that of mhchem);
- chemgreek, offering support for use of greek letters; and
- ghsystem, providing for the UN globally harmonised chemical notation.
The packages are written using current versions of the experimental LaTeX 3 coding conventions and the LaTeX 3 support packages.
